And it's hello from me: March 2009
Hello. Sam here. The new SUDSS committee is just about in place now, and I'm in
charge of the website for the next year, so any suggestions etc., feel free to
contact us.
Hope you all enjoyed the revue. DVDs should be on sale before too long, so
keep your eyes peeled for an e-mail with more details.
We've got the handover social lined up for Friday 20th March at Vodka Revolution.

It's goodbye from me: February 2009
Last update from me folks, try not to get too emotional now. If you have
any web-based ideas, questions or comments from now you'll need to spin
them in the direction of Sam Atkinson.
Revue tickets are currently on sale in the canteen, don't miss a classic night of
dental comedy. All proceeds to DentAid.

Winding down: December 2008
Okay so I've been a bit lax about updating the website lately. I blame the
immense 4th year workload! Hope you all enjoyed the Halloween social,
Dental ball, and hustings. (Yes, I've been very lax).
The good news is, I've uploaded the photos from the disposable cameras you
had on your ball tables. It took me a very long time, so please view them on
the Photos page.
I've also added info on the very last social (the revue) for the 08-09 committee
onto the Socials page.
Congratulations to everyone who stood up at hustings and gave a speech, they

Nobody ran for Webdesigner, which makes me incredibly sad. You should go for it
because it's the easiest job on the committee, it looks great on your CV, and if
you need me to I can walk you through it. You don't need to know html, you don't
even have to redesign the site, you can just update it. Personally I quite like
the current design! (Though it's possible I'm biased).

Gathering momentum: October 2008
Everyone seems to have just about survived the freshers social, so now its the
ball secretaries' turn to try to destroy you! Check the Socials page for details,
but make sure you get your ticket before Wednesday 15th October, we have to
get numbers to our venue by then.
I've added the freshers to the badminton pool list, get challenging folks!
There is now a permenant link to the online kitlocker store in the menu bar.
Follow it to get your supercool SUDSS gear. Sexy dentistry is not possible
without it!

Fresh... ahhhh!: September 2008
SUDSS extends warm fuzzy feelings to this years freshers! May they soon be
as full of toothy knowledge as we are.
Also welcome to the first ever Revue Secretary Krishan Mistry. If you have ideas
or questions concerning the Annual Dental Revue, please direct them right at
his TMJ. We've also scrounged up a new male Sports Sec, Dalbir Dub. As soon
as he replies to my emails you can have all his details.
I have updated the dental family list to include this years freshers, and the new
4th years email addresses. Harass them and tell them they have to take you out
or you'll throw a tantrum.
We are now selling Freshers Social tickets in the canteen at lunches. (For freshers
that's in the basement of the dental hospital. We'll be on the end of a table with a
big black cashbox that says SUDSS!).
Looking further afield for news, the medics girls 6-a-side football team is seeking
fresh new talent from dental ranks. Turn up to their practise at Goodwin astroturf
at 6.45pm on Tues 30th of September, or visit their Website and get in touch with
their captain.

My brain hurts from editing lots of pages, so I will keep this brief.
SUDSS bids a fond fairwell to one of its Sports Secs and hopes to get another
sharpish.

Back in the swing of things: August 2008
Welcome back after our luxuriously long holiday! How did we ever survive
outside the dental school for that long? Not much to report from SUDSS at the
moment but make sure you check out the Sports page for all the info on the
upcoming national and northern dental sports days.

Most of us are pretty well stuck into the hell that is revision by now, but I
bring good tidings! The details for our Summer Sports Day have been ironed
out and are now available to view on the Socials page. Get your teams registered
early and think of all the fun and games to be had when the exams are all
over.

In the Summertime: May 2008
Hope you all had a great time at pub golf, the turnout was fantastic. We'd like
to say an extra special Big Welcome to the first year H&T students who
joined us recently.
We'll be taking a break on the event side of things while we all scrape through
our various exams. Next on the agenda will be Summer Sports Day. It will be in
June, so keep checking for updates.
Our football team the 'Amalgamators' made it through to the knock-out phase
in their mini-league. Well done guys!
A great big thank you to everyone who has bought a DVD of the Revue, we still
have some left if you want one.

DVDs and Golf and Racquets oh my!: April 2008
Last year's committee would like to thank you all again for your massive
contribution to Dentaid via the Revue. We raised over £3000 on the night, but
we want to give even more! The Revue DVD contains all the material from the
night, and is available in the canteen at lunchtimes (1-2pm) at a mere £5 for
students. If that still seems like too much to you, why not share the cost with
a friend? Muchos muchos gracias.
All the details for Pub Golf have been ironed out and its promising to be a great
night out right on your doorstep in Broomhill. Check the Socials page for all you
need to know.
Pool lists for Badminton and Squash have been added to the website, and can be
accessed via the Sports page. Email your challenges and duel for honour!

Plodding along: March 2008
Phew, hope you all enjoyed the handover social. I'll be putting the pics up as
soon as Jay gets them to me. Our next stop for socials is Pub Golf in April, so get
sharpening your clubs! No that's not quite right is it... oh well.
Don't want to forget all the laughs of this year's revue? DVDs will be available in
the canteen at lunchtimes (1-2pm) after Easter.

Not-so-hostile Takeover: March 2008
Welcome to a new era of SUDSS. The new committee has been elected, we've
officially handed over, and I've given the SUDSS website a bit of a facelift. If you'll
look to your left you'll see a shiny new menu, which will hopefully contain some
new and useful features as time goes on.
In the meantime, what's happening that matters to you? I hear you ask. Well I'll tell
you. We've got a great social event lined up:
